Polaris

Polaris, commonly known as the North Star, is a bright star located nearly directly above the North Pole. It holds significance in navigation because it remains relatively stationary in the sky while other stars move around it, making it a reliable reference point for travelers and navigators. Polaris is part of the constellation Ursa Minor (the Little Bear) and is approximately 433 light-years away from Earth. Historically, sailors used it to find their way at sea, while today, it continues to be a symbol of guidance and direction.
