polar molecules

Polar molecules are molecules where the distribution of electrical charge is uneven, resulting in regions with slight positive and negative charges. This occurs when atoms with different electronegativities bond together, causing electrons to spend more time around the more electronegative atom. As a result, one end of the molecule becomes slightly negative while the other end is slightly positive. This imbalance influences how molecules interact, such as attracting each other or dissolving in water, and plays a key role in many chemical and biological processes.
