Polar Climate
Polar climate refers to the weather conditions found near Earth's poles—around Antarctica and the Arctic. These regions are characterized by extremely cold temperatures, often below freezing year-round, with long, harsh winters and short, cool summers. The climate has low temperatures, minimal precipitation mostly as snow, and very low humidity. These conditions create icy landscapes with glaciers, ice sheets, and sea ice. The polar climate influences global weather patterns and is sensitive to climate change, which is causing polar ice to melt at an accelerated rate.
