Points and lines

In geometry, a point is an exact location in space, having no size, shape, or dimension—think of it as a marker or dot. A line, on the other hand, is a straight, continuous arrangement of points extending infinitely in both directions, with no thickness or width. Lines connect points and help define shapes and structures, serving as the basic building blocks in geometry. Essentially, points identify positions, while lines show paths or connections between these positions across space.
