Podiatric medicine residency
A podiatric medicine residency is specialized training that doctors of podiatric medicine (podiatrists) complete after earning their degree. This one- to three-year program provides in-depth experience in diagnosing and treating foot, ankle, and lower limb conditions. Residents work closely with experienced physicians, performing surgeries, managing diabetic foot care, and addressing sports injuries, among other tasks. The goal is to develop the skills and knowledge needed to provide comprehensive foot and ankle healthcare independently, ensuring patients receive expert treatment for a wide range of conditions.
