PNT resilience
PNT resilience refers to the ability of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing systems—like GPS—to reliably function despite challenges or disruptions. This involves using multiple sources (such as satellite signals, ground-based systems, or inertial sensors) and backup strategies to ensure accurate location and timing information remains available, even if some signals are blocked, jammed, or compromised. Building resilience enhances safety, security, and operational continuity for critical infrastructure, transportation, military, and communication systems by minimizing dependence on a single source and ensuring dependable positioning and timing information under adverse conditions.
