Pneumatic Trough

A pneumatic trough is a tool used in chemistry to collect gases that are produced during reactions, especially those that are released as vapors or bubbles. It consists of a shallow container filled with water or another liquid. When a gas is generated, it is directed into the trough through a hose or tube, and since most gases are less dense than liquids, they float to the surface and can be collected in a separate container.
