A plot diagram is a visual tool that shows the structure of a story. It typically includes key points such as the introduction of characters and setting (exposition), the event that begins the main action (inciting incident), the series of increasing conflicts or challenges (rising action), the turning point or most intense moment (climax), the resolution of the story’s conflicts (falling action), and the conclusion or final outcome (resolution).
