Pld Facial Coding
PLD Facial Coding (or Facial Action Coding System, FACS) is a method used to analyze facial expressions by identifying specific muscle movements, called Action Units. These movements reveal underlying emotions like happiness, anger, or surprise. By observing these subtle facial cues, researchers and professionals can better understand genuine emotional responses in various contexts, such as marketing, psychology, or security. It’s a systematic approach that quantifies facial expressions objectively, providing insights into how people feel—even if they don’t voice those feelings explicitly.
