Plato's Forms
Plato's Forms are ideal, perfect versions of concepts or objects that exist beyond our physical world. For example, while many specific chairs exist, the Form of "Chairness" is the perfect, immutable essence of what makes something a chair. These Forms are unchanging and eternal, unlike the temporary, imperfect things we experience. Our sensory world is a shadow or reflection of these true Forms. Recognizing these perfect Ideas helps us understand the true nature of reality, guiding us toward knowledge and wisdom beyond superficial appearances.
