Plate Boundary Observatory

The Plate Boundary Observatory (PBO) is a network of modern geophysical instruments across the United States that monitors Earth's crust movements. It tracks tectonic plate interactions, including shifts and strains along fault lines, to better understand earthquakes and geological processes. Using GPS and other sensors, PBO provides real-time data that helps scientists study how the Earth's surface changes over time, improving earthquake preparedness and advancing our knowledge of plate tectonics.
