Plasma treating

Plasma treating is a process that uses ionized gas—called plasma—to modify the surface of materials, improving their properties. By exposing a surface to plasma, changes occur at a microscopic level, such as increasing surface energy, cleaning contaminants, or creating new functional groups. This enhances adhesion, wettability, or other surface characteristics without affecting the material’s bulk properties. Common in manufacturing, plasma treatment is used on plastics, metals, and textiles to prepare surfaces for coatings, adhesives, or printing, resulting in improved performance and durability.
