Plasma-activated water
Plasma-activated water (PAW) is water that has been treated with plasma—a state of matter similar to gas but with charged particles. When plasma interacts with water, it produces reactive molecules like oxygen and nitrogen compounds, along with hydrogen peroxide, which have antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. PAW is used in agriculture, medicine, and water treatment to promote plant growth, disinfect surfaces, or purify contaminated water. It offers a chemical-free alternative for sterilization and enhancement of water quality, leveraging the reactive species generated by plasma to achieve these effects safely and efficiently.
