Plantar Fascia Release
Plantar fascia release is a surgical procedure to relieve chronic heel pain caused by tightness or inflammation of the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue running along the bottom of the foot. During the surgery, a small cut is made to release part of the fascia, reducing tension and pressure on surrounding structures. This helps alleviate pain and improve foot function. The procedure is typically considered after conservative treatments like physical therapy, orthotics, and medications haven’t provided sufficient relief. Recovery varies, but most patients experience significant pain reduction and improved mobility following the surgery.
