PKK military wing
The PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) is a Kurdish militant organization involved in an ongoing conflict with Turkey. Its military wing, known as the People's Defense Forces (HPG), is responsible for carrying out armed operations, including guerrilla warfare, targeted attacks, and insurgency tactics. Established to promote Kurdish rights and independence, the military wing operates primarily in southeastern Turkey and surrounding regions, using asymmetric tactics to challenge Turkish military forces. The PKK's military activities have led to significant violence and political tensions, with some countries designating it as a terrorist organization.
