Pisanosaurus
Pisanosaurus is an extinct small dinosaur believed to have lived around 225 million years ago during the Late Triassic period. It is considered one of the earliest known ornithischian dinosaurs, meaning it belonged to a group that includes herbivores like stegosaurs and ceratopsians. Fossils of Pisanosaurus were discovered in Argentina. It was roughly the size of a dog, with a slender body and lightly built limbs, indicating it was likely a fast, agile herbivore. Its significance lies in its position as one of the earliest members of its group, helping scientists understand dinosaur evolution and diversity during the early Mesozoic era.
