Pink Sheets

Pink Sheets are a system used to publish real-time quotes and information on over-the-counter (OTC) securities, which are stocks not listed on major exchanges like the NYSE or NASDAQ. Named for the pink paper on which early quotes were printed, these sheets provide price data, bid and ask prices, and other relevant details for less-regulated, often smaller or riskier companies. They serve investors by offering transparency and up-to-date information about securities that aren't traded on standard exchanges. However, because many OTC stocks have lower visibility and stricter oversight, they often carry higher risks.
