Pilot-wave theory

Pilot-wave theory, also known as de Broglie-Bohm theory, is an interpretation of quantum mechanics suggesting particles have definite positions guided by a wave function. Unlike the mainstream view that particles behave probabilistically, this theory posits that particles move along specific paths determined by a "pilot wave," which influences their motion. The wave evolves according to quantum laws, while the particles follow these guided trajectories. This approach retains a concept of objectivity and determinism, providing a clear picture of particle behavior without requiring randomness or wave-particle duality, offering an alternative way to understand quantum phenomena.
