Piezoelectric transducers
Piezoelectric transducers are devices that convert mechanical energy into electrical signals, and vice versa, using the piezoelectric effect. When pressure, vibrations, or mechanical stress is applied to certain materials like quartz or ceramics, these materials generate a small electric voltage. Conversely, applying an electric voltage to these materials causes them to change shape slightly, producing mechanical movement. This property makes piezoelectric transducers useful in a variety of applications such as sensors, ultrasound imaging, and precision actuators, allowing for accurate detection, measurement, or control of physical phenomena through electrical signals.
