Physical Therapy Compact
The Physical Therapy Compact is an agreement among participating states that allows licensed physical therapists and physical therapist assistants to practice across state lines more easily. Instead of applying for a new license each time they work in a different participating state, a licensed therapist can practice in multiple states through a streamlined, multi-state license process. This improves access to care, especially for traveling therapists or those working in telehealth, and helps meet the healthcare needs across different regions while maintaining licensure standards.
