Phototherapeutic Keratectomy (PTK) is a laser eye surgery designed to treat certain corneal (the outer layer of the eye) issues, such as scarring or irregularities. During the procedure, a precise laser removes damaged surface tissue, promoting healing and improving vision. PTK is often used for conditions that do not respond to glasses or contact lenses.
