Photographic negatives

A photographic negative is an image where the tones are reversed: light areas appear dark, and dark areas appear light. It’s created during traditional film photography by exposing photographic film to light through a camera lens. After developing, the negative captures the scene’s details in reverse tone. When printed onto photographic paper and exposed to light, the negative produces a positive image with correct colors and tones. Negatives are valuable for reproducing images and preserving original scenes because they contain detailed, high-resolution information about the photograph.
