Philosophical Idealism
Philosophical idealism is the view that reality fundamentally consists of ideas, thoughts, or consciousness rather than physical objects. It suggests that our perceptions and mental experiences shape and determine what we consider to be reality, meaning that the material world depends on or is a manifestation of the mind. In this perspective, ultimate truth and existence are rooted in mental or spiritual principles, not in external, independently existing matter. Simplistically, idealists believe that consciousness or ideas are primary, and the physical world is, in some way, derived from or secondary to these mental components.
