Philip of Cleves

Philip of Cleves (1467–1518) was a nobleman from the Low Countries, part of the powerful House of Cleves. He served as a diplomat and court official, notably as a governor of Friesland and ambassador for his family’s territories. Known for his diplomatic skills and political influence, Philip played a role in regional and European affairs during the late 15th and early 16th centuries.
