Phenome

A phenome encompasses all the observable traits and characteristics of an individual, such as physical features, behaviors, and physiological functions. It results from the complex interaction between an organism’s genetic makeup (genes) and environmental influences. Essentially, the phenome reflects how genes are expressed in real-world features and functions, like eye color, height, or how someone responds to medication. Studying the phenome helps scientists understand how genetics and environment work together to shape an individual's unique traits.
