Pheidias

Pheidias was a renowned ancient Greek sculptor and artist, best known for creating the colossal statue of Zeus at Olympia, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Active around 460-430 BCE, he specialized in crafting grand, detailed statues that celebrated divine and heroic themes. Pheidias also supervised the decoration of the Parthenon in Athens, including its famous statue of Athena. His work combined exceptional artistry with technical skill, influencing future generations of sculptors. Today, Pheidias is remembered as a master of classical Greek sculpture whose creations exemplify balance, beauty, and religious devotion.
