PGP

PGP, or Pretty Good Privacy, is a method used to secure digital communications by encrypting emails and files. It uses a pair of cryptographic keys: a public key to lock (encrypt) information and a private key to unlock (decrypt) it. This ensures that only the intended recipient, who has the private key, can read the message. PGP also provides tools for verifying the sender’s identity via digital signatures, helping prevent impersonation and tampering. Overall, PGP enhances privacy and trust in electronic communications by making data unreadable to anyone except the intended recipient.
