PGD testing

PGD (Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis) testing is a procedure used during IVF to analyze embryos for specific genetic conditions before implantation. After fertilization, a few cells are carefully taken from an embryo and examined for abnormalities or heritable diseases. This allows prospective parents and doctors to select embryos that are healthy and free of certain genetic issues, increasing the chances of a successful pregnancy and healthy baby. PGD helps reduce the risk of passing on genetic disorders and is especially useful for couples with known genetic conditions or a history of genetic problems.
