Peters Anomaly

Peters anomaly is a rare eye condition where the front part of the eye, specifically the cornea and lens area, has developmental defects. This can cause part of the cornea to be cloudy or have abnormal tissue, and sometimes the lens may be partially or completely covered by the abnormal tissue. These issues can lead to visual impairment or blindness if not treated. Peters anomaly is often present at birth and may occur alone or with other eye or systemic conditions. Early diagnosis and management can help improve visual outcomes.
