Peter Tosh was a Jamaican reggae musician, best known as a founding member of the influential band The Wailers, alongside Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer. Born in 1944, Tosh became a prominent solo artist, celebrated for his powerful voice and socially conscious lyrics. His music often addressed themes of equality, justice, and the Rastafarian faith. Notable songs include "Legalize It" and "Get Up, Stand Up." Tosh's advocacy for human rights and cannabis legalization was significant, and he was tragically murdered in 1987. He is remembered as a pioneer of reggae and a voice for the marginalized.
