Peter the Apostle
Peter, also known as Simon Peter, was one of Jesus Christ’s closest disciples and a foundational leader in early Christianity. Originally a fisherman, he was called by Jesus to become a "fisher of men." Known for his boldness and occasional doubts, he played a key role in spreading Jesus’ teachings after the resurrection. Traditionally regarded as the first Pope by the Catholic Church, Peter's leadership helped establish the Christian church. His life exemplifies faith, humility, and loyalty, and he is remembered as a martyr who ultimately died for his beliefs.
