Peter Orlovsky

Peter Orlovsky was an American poet best known for his long-term relationship with the influential poet Allen Ginsberg. Born in 1933, Orlovsky served in the U.S. Army before becoming involved in the Beat Generation literary movement of the 1950s and 1960s. He was known for his passionate poetry exploring themes like love, spirituality, and personal liberation. Orlovsky's work and life exemplified openness and experimentation, and his partnership with Ginsberg was a significant influence on both their creative careers. He continued to write and perform poetry until his death in 2010.
