Peter Laird

Peter Laird is an American comic book artist and writer best known as the co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In 1984, he teamed up with Kevin Eastman to develop the Turtles, which became a hugely popular franchise spanning comics, TV shows, movies, and merchandise. Laird's artistic talent and storytelling helped bring the iconic characters—mutant turtles trained in martial arts—to life.
