Persona Theory
Persona Theory, developed by Carl Jung, suggests that each person has multiple "personas" or social masks they adopt in different situations. These personas help us navigate social roles, expectations, and relationships, often masking our true self. While they enable effective social interaction, over-reliance on certain personas can limit authentic expression and self-awareness. Recognizing these different masks can promote better self-understanding and authentic living, as we become aware of how we present ourselves versus who we truly are beneath the roles we play.
