Persian Zoroastrianism

Persian Zoroastrianism, founded by the prophet Zoroaster around 1500-1000 BCE, is one of the world's oldest monotheistic religions. It centers on the moral duality between Ahura Mazda, the wise and good deity, and Angra Mainyu, the destructive spirit. Followers emphasize truth, righteousness, and environmental stewardship, believing life’s purpose is to choose good over evil. Rituals include prayer, fire worship, and moral conduct. Once the dominant religion of Persia (Iran), it has significantly influenced other faiths and remains practiced today by small communities, preserving ancient teachings about cosmic struggle, moral responsibility, and spiritual purity.
