
Pershing Arena
Pershing Arena was a multi-purpose indoor sports facility located in Lincoln, Nebraska. Opened in 1959, it served as a venue for various athletic events, including basketball, hockey, and concerts. It could seat thousands of spectators and was home to the University of Nebraska’s basketball and hockey teams. Known for its distinctive architecture and central role in local sports culture, Pershing Arena was a key community hub for sports and entertainment for several decades. It was replaced by newer facilities in the 2010s and officially closed in 2019.
