People's Revolutionary Army (ERP)

The People's Revolutionary Army (ERP) was a Marxist-Leninist guerrilla organization in Peru active from the 1980s to the early 2000s. It aimed to overthrow the Peruvian government and establish a socialist state through violent insurgency. Comprising primarily rural villagers and militants, ERP engaged in guerrilla warfare, kidnappings, and attacks against military and civilian targets. It was part of a broader pattern of revolutionary movements in Latin America during that period.
