People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia

The People's Consultative Assembly (Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat, MPR) is a key part of Indonesia’s government, serving as the highest legislative body. It is made up of two houses: the Regional Representative Council (DPD) and the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR). Its main roles include reviewing constitutional laws, setting guidelines for national development, and representing the people's interests. The MPR can also amend the constitution and, in certain situations, elect the president. It functions as a forum for national discussions, ensuring that different regions and perspectives influence Indonesia’s policies and governance.
