PEN Transmissions

PEN transmissions refer to the process of transmitting electrical signals through a combined conductor called the PEN (Protective Earth and Neutral) conductor. In certain electrical systems, especially TN-C systems, the neutral and protective earth functions are integrated into a single conductor to simplify wiring. This allows for efficient distribution of electrical power while providing a common path for fault currents and safety grounding. Proper design and maintenance of PEN conductors are essential to ensure safety, minimize electrical interference, and maintain reliable power delivery in the system.
