Pelicans

Pelicans are large, water-dwelling birds known for their distinctive long bills and large throat pouches, which they use to catch fish. They primarily live in coastal and freshwater regions around the world. Pelicans often hunt in groups, employing a cooperative strategy to drive fish into shallow waters for easier capture. Their wingspan can reach up to 10 feet, making them impressive flyers. The most common species include the American and Australian pelicans. These birds are social and often seen in large colonies, both while nesting and feeding. Pelicans are also known for their graceful gliding in the air.
