Peer-to-peer file sharing
Peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing is a method where multiple computers, called nodes, connect directly to each other to exchange files without relying on a central server. Each user can both upload and download data, sharing resources within a network. This decentralization allows for efficient distribution of large files, such as music, movies, or documents, since data is sourced from multiple peers simultaneously. P2P systems are often used for sharing files quickly and cost-effectively, but they can also raise legal and security concerns depending on the content shared.
