Pediatric MRI

Pediatric MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a medical imaging technique used to visualize the internal structures of children’s bodies, especially the brain, spine, and joints. Unlike X-rays or CT scans, MRI uses powerful magnets and radio waves to create detailed images without exposing young patients to ionizing radiation. It’s particularly helpful for diagnosing conditions such as tumors, structural abnormalities, or injuries. The process is non-invasive and painless, but children may need to stay still inside a large, tunnel-like machine. In some cases, a brief sedative may be administered to help them relax during the scan.
