Peake's Spacewalk
Peake’s Spacewalk was a planned extravehicular activity (EVA) conducted by astronaut Timothy Peake during his time on the International Space Station (ISS) in December 2015. During the spacewalk, Peake and another astronaut performed maintenance tasks outside the station, such as replacing batteries and installing equipment, to ensure the ISS’s ongoing operation. Using a pressurized suit, he maneuvered in the vacuum of space, connecting tools and components. The spacewalk demonstrated international cooperation and the skills required for maintenance and repairs essential for long-duration missions beyond Earth.
