PEACE Model

The PEACE Model is a structured approach used by professionals, especially in investigative or interview settings, to gather information ethically and effectively. It stands for Planning and Preparation, Engage and Explain, Account, Closure, and Evaluate. This process guides interviewers to prepare thoroughly, establish trust and understanding with the interviewee, allow them to share their account calmly, conclude the interview properly, and assess the process afterward. The goal is to obtain accurate information while respecting the rights and dignity of the person being interviewed.
