Pd/C (Palladium on carbon)

Palladium on carbon (Pd/C) is a common catalyst used in chemistry to facilitate reactions, especially in converting complex molecules into simpler forms, such as during hydrogenation. It consists of tiny metal palladium particles dispersed on a carbon support. This structure allows it to efficiently promote reactions involving the addition of hydrogen to chemical compounds, often turning liquid chemicals into more stable or desired forms.
