PCT Member States
PCT Member States are countries that are part of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), an international agreement that simplifies the process of filing patent applications in multiple countries. Instead of applying individually in each country, inventors can submit a single international application through the PCT system, which then makes it easier to seek patent protection in multiple member countries. This coordination reduces costs and streamlines the process for inventors and companies seeking worldwide patent rights. As of 2023, there are over 150 PCT member states, covering the majority of the world's key patent jurisdictions.
