PCR technique

Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a laboratory method used to make millions of copies of a specific DNA segment. It involves repeatedly heating and cooling the DNA sample to separate the strands, then adding tiny pieces called primers that attach to the target sequence, and using an enzyme to extend these primers, creating new copies. By repeating this cycle many times, PCR exponentially amplifies the DNA, making it easier to analyze or detect, and it’s widely used in medical diagnostics, forensic science, and genetic research.
