Pazuzu
Pazuzu is a figure from ancient Mesopotamian mythology, often depicted as a demon or evil spirit. He is believed to embody the wind, storms, and droughts, and traditionally symbolizes protection against other malevolent spirits, particularly local demons causing illness or harm. Pazuzu has a composite appearance, with features like a human body, animalistic features, wings, and a fierce face. Despite his fearsome traits, he was also invoked for protection, especially in amulets and talismans. Over time, Pazuzu has become a popular cultural icon, notably in horror movies like "The Exorcist."
