Paulk's Model

Paulk’s Model, also known as the Capability Maturity Model (CMM), is a framework that helps organizations improve their processes, especially in software development. It outlines five levels of maturity, from initial (ad hoc processes) to optimizing (continuous improvement). As an organization progresses through these levels, its processes become more structured, predictable, and efficient, leading to higher quality products and better project management. The model serves as a guide for organizations to assess where they are and what steps are needed to reach higher levels of performance and professionalism.
