Paul de Lagarde

Paul de Lagarde (1827–1891) was a German biblical scholar, theologian, and cultural critic known for his conservative and nationalist views. He studied ancient languages and aimed to understand religious texts deeply. Later, he became influential in shaping ideas about German identity and culture, often emphasizing traditional values.
